Britney Spears-

Music genre- Pop
Target audience- Men(sex appeal), Women(catchy pop song) Teenagers.
Costumes and setting- Schoolgirl costumes for sex appeal.  School setting would relate to the TA.
Positioning- Middle Medium shot.


Lighting 

Highkey lighting
  • Creates ethereal vibe.
  •  Heavenly look. Peaceful, calming, hopeful. 
  • Limits shadows. 
  • Forgiving (makes people look good). 
  • Show as much detail of the subjects as possible.
  •  Highly lighting lights up the whole face.
  •  Quick and easy to set up. 
  • Often used in sitcoms as it lights up the whole scene when the characters often move around. 
  • Doesn't go into to much depth of emotion and tends to portray the subjects as innocent and good.

Low-key lighting
  • Opposite to highkey lighting. 
  • High contrast lighting (light tones very light, dark tones very dark). 
  • Pessimistic. 
  • Mysterious, dramatic and foreshadowing. 
  • Intense dramatic scenes, convey emotions. 
  • Often used in action and drama based films. 
  • Higher lighting ratio.



How doe the mise-en-scene create meaning for the audience?

P- Point- Taylor Swift's pop superstar celebrity image is promoted in her music video through media language.
