Top tips for writing a sports story
- Know your audience: Age, gender, class.
- Do your research: Get to know the facts so you don't lie and that you feel confident about it.
- Make it interesting: If you don't find it interesting, the audience won't find it interesting. Make it melodramatic.
- Validation: Who can back up the story, who can give their opinion, sometimes make it all around the audience's quotes.
- How are you pitching: How do u make it sound interesting/exciting and how are you going to advertise it.
- When can you add your spin: You never know what is going to happen.
- A tight and interesting intro: The first sentence has to be incredible, between 20-25 , factual, entertaining,tight.
